POWERING THE FUTURE OF NORTHERN IRELAND

Floating wind turbines: the next generation of renewable technologies takes Northern Ireland closer to self-sufficiency.

North Channel Wind is a prospective floating offshore wind development in the North Channel of the Irish Sea, 9-25km from the eastern coast of Northern Ireland. Our two projects, North Channel Wind 1 and North Channel Wind 2, would represent one of the largest energy infrastructure investments in Northern Ireland this decade and would be the largest renewable energy generators in Northern Ireland.

OUR VISION

With a combined potential capacity of over 1.4 gigawatts, North Channel Wind 1 and 2 will support the delivery of Northern Ireland’s renewable energy targets and transition to a net zero carbon economy, helping to reduce Northern Ireland’s reliance on imported energy and improve security of supply.
